Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, will chair the Kimpton Flood
Meeting at the Kimpton Memorial Hall at 9.30 am on Friday 22nd November.
The meeting will be attended by the main agencies involved in flood
prevention in the local area.
Peter Lilley said:
“I look forward to what should be a constructive meeting on flood prevention
in Kimpton and the surrounding area. Along with representatives from the
Parish Council and other local authorities, the meeting will be attended by
the Environment Agency, Herts Fire and Rescue and representatives of local
residents and businesses.
“It is important that agreement is reached on the practical measures in the
draft Kimpton Flood Plan. It will also be an important opportunity to
discuss the impact of the proposed development at Luton Airport on the water
table and ecology of the area.”
