Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, has urged local people to continue to oppose plans to over-expand Luton Airport after the consultation process ends on 30th November.
“If the Government thinks it can choke off growing concerns over the over-expansion of Luton Airport by shutting their ears after the very short consultation process ends on 30th November, they?ve got another think coming?, said Peter Lilley.
“I urge people to make protests before the closing date. However, my experience as a Minister suggests that even if letters are received after the end of a consultation process, they will still have an impact.
“I shall continue to work with local councils and action groups, such as LADACAN, to drive home to the Government the folly of trying to expand Luton to the size of Gatwick.?
