Rt Hon Lord Lilley

Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, has invited Greg Clarke, the Head of the Policy Unit who will be developing policies for the new Opposition Leader, Michael Howard, to meet local businessmen at a breakfast meeting at Rothamsted Manor on Friday, 14 November.

“It will be very important that the new policies reflect the needs of business if we are to generate the wealth required for improved public services”, said Peter Lilley.

He went on, “Greg Clarke will be discussing with local entrepreneurs issues such as skills training, transport, regulation and taxation. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to influence the direction of policy formation at this key stage in the renewal of the Conservative Party‘s fortunes.”
