Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, will now be speaking this Wednesday, the 21st April, at the public meeting to be chaired by the Bishop of St Albans on ‘New Homes versus the Countryside‘. The meeting is to be held at St Albans School at 8pm.
Peter Lilley said: “I was determined to take part if at all possible because this government‘s plans to impose ever larger housing targets on Hertfordshire are emerging as the major threat to the character of the whole area. We need more homes but they should be primarily on previously built on land, not on the Green Belt. I welcome the Bishop of St Albans‘ agreement to chair this very important meeting.”
