Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, attended the Fun Day held at Oughton School to celebrate the National Sure Start Month. The theme for the month is ?Your Children, Your Choices?. It is all about helping parents find out about what services are available on their doorstep and putting the spotlight on choice.
Peter Lilley said: “The Fun Day was all about volunteer groups co-operating to show parents the full range of help and options available to them. I was very impressed with the tremendous enthusiasm of all the organisations ? voluntary and statutory ? which took part. Many young children and their families who live and work in the Oughton area attended and I know they found it a very useful and worthwhile experience.
“I would like to congratulate Kim Day, the Oughton Children?s Centre Administrator, and everyone else who was involved on their hard work in organising such a successful occasion
