Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, congratulated Georgina Bingham, a Rothamsted PhD student, who was selected from an entry of 280 to display a poster on her research work at the UK Bioscience Research exhibition at the House of Commons.
Peter Lilley said: “I was delighted to learn that Georgina had been selected from such a large entry to display her poster at this exhibition to highlight her work on overcoming insecticide resistance in aphid species by targeting the mechanisms conferring that resistance. This will allow the continued use of cheaper, more environmentally friendly chemistry and could help increase food production globally. Georgina is to be congratulated on her work.?
