MP to host forum on Hertfordshire development needs

- Sunday, 7th April 2002

Peter Lilley will host an open discussion forum on future development needs in Hertfordshire this Saturday (13th April 2002). The forum will take place at Kingshott School, Hitchin at 10 am.

Peter Lilley said:

"This will be a useful forum for people to come and air their views about future development needs in the county.

"I also look forward to hearing John Wood, Assistant Director of Strategy at Hertfordshire County Council, who will speak on the future of planning in the county. Hertfordshire County Council has been actively seeking alternatives to the Government proposals to build 10,000 houses on greenbelt land west of Stevenage. Town planning has been a source of controversy in recent years and I hope that the forum will throw light on a number of difficult issues.
