LILLEY INVITES YOUNG VOTERS TO SEE PARLIAMENT AT WORK

- Monday, 13th June 2005

Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, is holding his annual meeting for young people from Hitchin and Harpenden at the House of Commons on Monday 20th June.

Peter Lilley said: "I always find these visits invaluable in giving me an opportunity to hear young people?s political concerns as well as responding to their questions, and giving them the opportunity to see Parliament at work.

"I have tried to invite young people whose names have just been added to the electoral register, but the occasion is open to any young person in the area who is interested in visiting Parliament.

"I held five meetings in local schools in the course of the election campaign and there was a great deal of extremely intelligent interest from young people. I hope many of them will join me again at Westminster.

"Because of the popularity of these evenings, I may be holding another one for those who cannot make the 20th June because of exams
