LILLEY WELCOMES COUNCIL DECISION TO RE-SURFACE ROAD OUTSIDE THE PRIORY SCHOOL

Peter Lilley, MP for Hitchin and Harpenden, has welcomed the news that following representations he made to Hertfordshire Highways on behalf of The Priory School that the road outside the school has now been re-surfaced.

Peter Lilley said: "I am very pleased that the road outside The Priory has finally been re-surfaced following representations I made on behalf of the governors of the school to Hertfordshire Highways about the need to repair the road outside the school which was in a very bad state. The whole school is very pleased with the safety, smoothness and look that is now offered to those entering and leaving the school site.?

Dr Ian McAndrew, the Chairman of the Finances and Premises Committee at The Priory School, added: "Having had no luck with the Council, I got in touch with our local MP, Peter Lilley, and he did all the chasing up to arrange the re-surfacing.?
