PETER LILLEY PARTICIPATES IN SCHOOL DEBATE

- Thursday, 24th March 2011

University tuition fees, voluntary euthanasia, spending cuts and tax rises were among the questions posed by each of the School’s houses, with a fish and chip lunch awarded to the house that the panellists thought submitted the best question. Peter looks forward to visiting three Hertfordshire schools later this week.

Peter Lilley said: “I was thrilled to see that the girls at HGS were all so engaged in the debate; it demonstrated their ardent interest in both the democratic process and the pertinent issues that are widely discussed and contested by politicians today. It was a highly exciting event and I was glad to have been given the opportunity to participate.”

Peter will be visiting three more schools this week, Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School, Sir John Lawes School and the Sixth Form at St Albans School.
