PETER LILLEY TO VISIT LOCAL SCHOOL AS YOUNG PUPILS PREPARE ELECTION MANIFESTOS

- Thursday, 3rd March 2011

Pupils at Whitehill are studying ‘Rulers and Governors’ as part of their IPC unit of work and are preparing their own election manifestos amongst other parliamentary activities.

Peter Lilley has said: “I am always pleased to have the opportunity to talk to and inform young constituents on life inside Parliament.  I look forward to meeting the pupils in years 5 and 6 at Whitehill Junior School and to telling them how Parliament works and what my role as an MP entails.”

Upper School Leader Julie Petitt has said: “We pride ourselves on giving children real life opportunities and having a visit from our local MP will be a super addition to their learning.  I am sure that a talk from Peter Lilley will inspire the children in the work on ‘Rulers and Governors’, and look forward to meeting him on Friday.”
