Defending our Liberties

Like our right to jury trial, the presumption of innocence, freedom from arbitrary arrest and repeated prosecution for the same offence, which are under threat. I also oppose unnecessary and damaging restrictions on personal responsibilty like compulsory identity cards and the current cannabis laws.

Limit Luton Airport Expansion

Which could mean a jumbo jet a minute over Hitchin & Harpenden, massive road projects and pollution.

Save our Green Belt

I totally oppose plans to build over 5,000 houses on green belt land west of Stevenage and tens of thousands of houses in the rest of the constituency. I am actively doing all I can to stop these plans.

Patient Power

Give NHS patients real powers by restoring their right (eliminated by this government) to be referred by their GPs to any NHS hospital they choose; to publish information so that they can make informed choices; and to make taxpayer's money follow patient choice.
